Maxine McCarthy is an award-winning entrepreneur and aesthetics expert, as well as CEO of the UK’s largest aesthetics training provider Cosmetic Couture founded in 2012.

Maxine is renowned for her knowledge and expertise in the beauty industry, winning national and international aesthetics awards in 2021 and 2022. She was also announced as a finalist for the Hair & Beauty Awards in 2023, and is in the running for the Trailblazer Awards 2023 for the Best UK Beauty Aesthetics Business. 

In addition to her work with Cosmetic Couture, Maxine created the Association of Cosmetic Practitioners Britain (ACPB), a not-for-profit organization devoted to supporting non-medics in the aesthetics industry and raising industry standards.

Dr. Demetris Stavrou is a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon who was born in Nicosia. He grew up in a family of doctors and soon understood the special relationship between doctor and patient. He graduated from the University of Athens Medical School and finished his residency in Plastic Surgery at the Chaim Sheba Medical Center at Tel-Hashomer, Israel.

There he was trained in the latest techniques of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery from world known scientists. He continued his training with a fellowship in “Advanced Aesthetic Surgery” at the prestigious Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery.

His interest in breast reconstruction after breast cancer and cosmetic procedures following weight loss surgery was evident from the start. He also had the chance to train in specialised techniques for facelift, burn reconstruction and skin cancer surgery.

Dr. Stavrou is constantly updated with the most modern techniques in plastic surgery and is in cooperation with big medical centres abroad where he is still working as a visiting surgeon. He has a constant interest in research and has published a number of scientific articles.

Dr Andreas Stavroulis graduated with a distinction in 2002 from Semmelweis University of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary, with a medical degree (MD).

In 2003, he moved to the UK to start his postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) as a Research Fellow in Endometriosis at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). Between 2004 and 2013, he trained in London University Hospitals, gaining significant experience in all aspects of O&G specialty.

He has published peer-reviewed papers and presented his research work at many international meetings. He is a member of the British and European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE, ESGE), the American Association of Gynecologic Endoscopist (AAGL), the British Fertility Society (BFS), and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Endocrinology (ESHRE).

In October 2014, Dr Andreas Stavroulis returned to Cyprus and now works privately as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, specializing in advanced hysteroscopic/laparoscopic surgery, Endometriosis, reproductive medicine, and fertility treatment.

He is also the founder and leader of the Endometriosis Centre Cyprus, a team of professionals caring for women with Endometriosis.

Dr. Leonidas Soteriou earned his medical degree (MD) from Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary. He then began his residency at Hadassah University Medical Center in Israel, initially in the Department of Trauma & General Surgery before transitioning to the Department of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery to complete his residency program.

During his training, Dr. Soteriou had the privilege of studying under world-renowned plastic surgeons, receiving instruction in a variety of areas, including Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, Breast Reconstruction following Mastectomy, Pediatric Plastic Surgery, Reconstruction of Congenital Malformations, Skin Cancer, and Burns.

With a particular interest in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Dr. Soteriou pursued further surgical training at the Center for Aesthetic Surgery at Hadassah University Medical Center to enhance his skills in this area. There, he learned innovative surgical techniques aimed at optimizing aesthetic outcomes and enhancing patient safety.

To stay up to date in the ever-evolving world of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Dr. Soteriou attends congresses and courses and studies scientific publications. He has a special interest in performing Aesthetic Procedures that look natural.
